BATTERY RANGE TO CUT NOISE AND CARBON
Our wide range of low noise, battery-powered equipment delivers opportunities to use low-carbon
energy sources and improves safety. Furthermore they spare the environment from fumes and
the products have lower vibration and noise levels. Carbon emissions can be reduced to almost
zero during use if the battery is charged with renewable energy.
CHAINSAW INNOVATIONS TO REDUCE EMISSIONS
Since 1990, we have reduced our chainsaws’ fuel consumption by more than 30 %. Our recently
launched 70cc pro chainsaw has approximately 10 % less CO2 emissions compared to its
predecessors thanks to innovations like the X-Torq® engine technology. And over the last
20 years, NOx + HC emissions have decreased by more than 50 % for combustion engines.
SOFTWARE THAT CUTS GAS AND PRODUCT COSTS
We are finding new ways to influence how customers can optimize their product fleet. By gathering
data from devices and providing the analytics to crunch that data, digitisation helps customers
optimize utilisation, uptime and efficiency. It also gives insights into how to create even better
customer solutions and fine-tune our products to each task.
SUSTAINABLE INNOVATIONS FOR TOMORROW
While our 2020 target relies primarily on sustainable products in our current product mix, we’re
already working on future innovations such as the Husqvarna Battery Box – the world’s first connected
garden community toolshed that combines environmental awareness with a sharing economy.

ROBOTICS WITH A VISION: ZERO IMPACT
Husqvarna Automower® supports the transition from gas-driven lawn mowers to silent and
efficient lawn management in private yards, commercial properties and public green spaces.
Husqvarna Automower® robotic lawn mowers have an extremely low noise level (down to only 58dB)
and can replace riding lawn mowers and walk-behind mowers in residential areas, parks and green
spaces as well as sports facilities, thereby reducing the carbon footprint and noise levels.
SUSTAINABLE PRINTING
This publication is printed on materials from well-managed forests and other controlled sources.
It has been printed using an alcohol-free process, with a water-based varnish and vegetable-based
printing inks, which are non-hazardous and are from renewable sources. The printing plates used to
produce this brochure were made in a chemical-free process.
